Hi everyone, welcome to PINNA 4 PIPER's blog.
Here you will find posts on all my childrens clothing designs, past and present, that are handmade by yours truly for my label PINNA 4 PIPER! I like to consider PINNA 4 PIPER as an exclusive and eco- friendly label as the majority of items are made from a beautiful eclectic mix of vintage fabrics such as tablecloths, doilies and curtains or from second hand ( of the best quality ) garments that I have reworked. I love the treasure hunt and gather my inspiration from the fabrics I have found and the desire to bring them back into circulation once again.
I do use new fabrics as well but only in extremely limited quantities and only from the best fabric designers! There is no mass production involved and my collections contain one of a kind designs. The production from scratch all takes place in my families home around my very supportive husband and kiddies overlooking the ocean and surrounded by mother natures best landscapes and wildlife.
The bottom line is when you buy a PINNA 4 PIPER item you know you are adding to your childs' wardrobe a unique garment of clothing that is made with the best quality craftsmanship which is born from a passion of what I do and this garment will most definetely become a favourite for your little cherub.

I am so happy to announce that a beautiful, relaxing sea change has my creative juices flowing again. I have re-opened my Etsy store and endeavour to fill it with unique designs using only the best vintage and upcycled materials. I look forward to sharing the journey of fabulous vintage, secondhand finds that I transform into one of a kind articles of clothing for hip and stylish little cherubs with everyone through this blog. No sweatshops, no mass production, no underpaid workers, no poor conditions, just me and my sewing machine and overlocker in my family home that overlooks the beautiful Eastern Australian coastline in the most awesome Northern Rivers. How lucky can one be!!

Everyone loves a sale and a good quality one at that!! I am currently having a sale through my etsy store pinna4piper.etsy.com. Everything has been drastically reduced to prices I'm not even sure cover the cost of fabrics let alone the time spent creating but I am feeling generous. The more you give the more you recieve lovelies!!!!! There are a couple of items that are in the $30 USD range but mostly everything is $25 USD and under. Postage has also been slashed to bare minimum so there are no nasty surprises here.
EXAMPLES OF SALE : These gorgeous shorts and bloomers, both made with beautiful quality japanese fabrics, were $30 USD now only $15 USD. A sweet little vintage fabric dress and bloomers set was $30 USD now $18 USD. I am not sure how long the sale will last so go ahead and check it out and maybe pick up a bargain or 2 while you're there.

I came across this most lovely fabric a couple of weeks ago when I was searching for freshness. It is called VINTAGE POP and is designed by SHONA FARR designs in Brisbane, Australia.
The quality is divine, the print is divine, the rich redness is divine!!! I made this gorgeous little smock dress with it, teaming it with just some plain rich ruby red cotton, that I wanted to share with you all!
It is available for sale right now in my ETSY STORE, PINNA 4 PIPER, and has also been featured in an article at KIDindependent. Very exciting!!!! I just love my day ( and night ) job!

I am so excited to share with you all my fabulous vintage find and what it has transformed into so far! Browsing through ebay the other ( well I was just supposed to be browsing, I tried I really did, woops lucky my husband doesn't read my blog, ) and I came across the most delightfully bright, fun and funky vintage childrens curtains. The price tag was a little steep ( O.K a lot steep for my "browsing" budget) but I knew I just had to have them. The possibilities of what I could do with this fabric were endless! So yes I clicked on the BUY button and yes when they arrived I hid them from my husband ( or at least the receipt ) and yes I started sewing madly! And here are 2 of the reproductions so far, I hope you enjoy! For more details and pictures click on the following link, PINNA 4 PIPER, and it will take you to my Etsy store where both these items are available to purchase. Have a lovely weekend everyone.

I just wanted to quickly share with you all my latest upcycle.
This pillowcase caught my eye because of the sweetness of the colourings and prints plus the quality of the cotton( it obviously was part of a doona cover set ).
Now it's an adorable little romper suit , a vintage pattern at that!!
Now that's what I call upcycling, recycling , ethical and eco- friendly, wouldn't you agree!
To check out more pics and detail visit my ETSY STORE!

I went a treasure hunting the other day and stumbled across this brilliant vintage childrens bedroom ( I am assuming ) curtain. In fact I haven't been for a while and to my surprise I stumbled across many a treasure.
But this curtain being my favourite, my mind started ticking over at the possibilities.
Once home and washed the curtain was ready to transform.
And transform it did, into 2 garments in fact. 1 a gorgeous 100% twirlable skirt for a little cherub who is a size 2 and the other a fabo dress top. If you would like to see more detailed pics and info. visit my pinna4piper.etsy.com to check them out.
